Q: HOW SHOULD I UNWRAP THE OUTER PLASTIC??
Remove the mattress from the box and take it into the Casita. Remove the outer plastic (tube) bag. Spread out the mattress where you want it to reside, topper side up. Cut away and remove the outer plastic and position. Allow 24 hours for the compressed mattress to completely expand.
IMPORTANT Open your mattress as soon as possible so it takes less time to fully expand.
Q: HOW LONG DOES A COMPRESSED MATTRESS TAKE TO FULLY TO EXPAND AFTER I'VE REMOVED THE OUTER PLASTIC?
These high-density foam mattresses completely expand within an hour of unrolling and are ready to use.
Q: WHY DOES MY MATTRESS HAVE A CREASE IN THE TOPPER?
When the mattress is compressed and rolled, the topper, which is comprised of six different layers, can develop a crease after expanding. It does not affect comfort, nor is it visible when bedding is added.

Q: WILL I NEED TO REMOVE THE CASITA CUSHIONS?
YES. Consider: The mattress is 9" thick. The factory cushions are 4". The additional height would interfere with vents and table heights. Also, should you need to get under the benches, it would be that much more to deal with. Additional height would also put you that much closer to the bottom of the windows, and to the upper cabinets when you sit up in bed. There are also owners who use the bed as a place to sit, and the additional height makes it a bit more awkward for the horizontally-challenged.
Q: WILL THE OPTIONAL FACTORY FOLDING KITCHEN SHELF INTERFERE
A: WITH THE MATTRESS WHEN IN THE STOWED POSITION?
Starting with the 2025 models, the optional shelf will NOT interfere. However, on older models, where the shelf doesn't clear the mattress, it can be left up while traveling with no issues.
Q: CAN I ORDER A MATTRESS LESS THAN 9" HIGH?
A: NO, sorry.
Q: CAN I HAVE A MATTRESS SHIPPED TO LITTLE HOME ON THE ROAD?
A: YES. The UPS charge is $40.
Q: DO THESE MATTRESSES HAVE ANY CHEMICAL ODORS?
A: NO, there is no off-gassing.
Q: CAN THESE MATTRESSES BE FLIPPED?
A: NO. The cool gel topper must be face up; however, the SIDE mattress can be rotated.
Q; WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS MATTRESS?
A: These mattresses have a very dense 7" base foam, a 1" layer of a softer foam, and then the multi-layered quilted top.
All are designed to be compressed, rolled, then encased, sleeved in plastic, and shipped. Compared to other mattresses, they're lighter, more compact, less costly to ship, and easier for customers to move around. And yet they're still astonishingly comfortable!
Over time and depending on usage, your mattress may show signs of dipping where there's been constant sitting or kneeling. The Full size mattress at the front/center/aisle is especially susceptible due to the ever-popular Casitanastics feat known as the "Climb Over," or when accessing the back upper cabinets.
To be covered under warranty, the dip must exceed 1-1/2" and be photographed with a straight-edge and a ruler.
