Remove mattress from box and take into the Casita. Remove outer plastic (tube) bag. Place mattress on bench or foundation. Remove the outer plastic and flip the mattress to quilted side up, making sure to match rounded corners to the Casita..
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE A COMPRESSED MATTRESS TO EXPAND?
These high-density foam mattresses completely expand within an hour of unrolling and are ready to use.
Q: WHY DOES MY MATTRESS HAVE A CREASE IN THE TOPPER?
When the mattress is compressed and rolled, the topper, which is comprised of six different layers, can develop a crease after expanding. It does not affect comfort, nor is it visible when bedding is added.

Q: HOW DOES A LOVE MY CASITA MATTRESS COMPARE
WITH A SOUTHERN MATTRESS?
They are near-identical in comfort, quality and fit. But that's where the similarities end.
Let's compare the most popular size mattress, a FULL.
- Love My Casita price is $595 shipped and about 40 lbs. Our prices are on our webpage.
- Southern Mattress is $1,200+ shipped and weighs considerably more. You have to call to get a price.
Both mattresses use several layers of memory foam; however...
- Love My Casita mattress foams are lightweight and can be compressed, folded, rolled, wrapped in an outer plastic tube, placed into a box, and shipped from Texas for $75.
- Southern Mattress foams are not compressed. Mattresses are sent via FedEx, ready to install and use. Size, weight and their North Carolina location contribute to shipping costs of over $200.
Q: WHO ARE YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS?
If you can consider these competitors. I don't. They're basically toppers.
Mattress Insider in Littleton CO. Their webpage asks customers to come by to have a paper template made because "all Casitas are different." They don't show any prices. (It's obvious they're just entering the Casita business since they've exact-copied the names of the LoveMyCasita mattresses. Gotta love originality.)

Q: WILL I NEED TO REMOVE THE CASITA CUSHIONS?
YES. Consider: The mattress is 9" thick. The factory cushions are 4". The additional height would interfere with vents and table heights. Also, should you need to get under the benches, it would be that much more to deal with. Additional height would also put you that much closer to the bottom of the windows, and to the upper cabinets when you sit up in bed. There are also owners who use the bed as a place to sit, and the additional height makes it a bit more awkward for the horizontally-challenged.
Q: WILL THE OPTIONAL FACTORY FOLDING KITCHEN SHELF INTERFERE WITH THE MATTRESS?
YES, it can. The factory-installed shelf does NOT clear the mattress when it's in the stowed position; however, it can be left up with no issues, even while traveling. Check out the modified-to-fit folding shelves sold by

NO, there is no off-gassing.
Q: CAN THESE MATTRESSES BE FLIPPED?
NO. The cool gel topper must be face up; however, the SIDE mattress can be rotated.
Q; WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS MATTRESS?
These mattresses have a very dense 7" base foam, a 1" layer of a softer foam, and then the multi-layered quilted top.
All are designed to be compressed, rolled, then encased, sleeved in plastic, and shipped. Compared to other mattresses, they're lighter, more compact, less costly to ship, and easier for customers to move around. And yet they're still astonishingly comfortable!
Over time and depending on usage, your mattress may show signs of dipping where there's been constant sitting or kneeling. The Full size mattress at the front/center/aisle is especially susceptible due to the ever-popular Casitanastics feat known as the "Climb Over," or when accessing the back upper cabinets.
To be covered under warranty, the dip must exceed 1-1/2" and be photographed with a straight-edge and a ruler.
Getting a King mattress into a Liberty or Independence
would be easy since it would be compressed/rolled/folded. Just set that big 'burrito' down where you want it, remove the outer plastic, and watch as the mattress unfurls into a ginormous 75" x 80" x 9" field of comfort.
What could possibly go wrong?
#1 Getting a King mattress OUT of a Casita.
Can't be done. The ceiling height in a 17' Casita along the center aisle (minus the air conditioner and fan controls) can't accommodate a 75" tall mattress standing on its end, nor can it be manipulated around the kitchen and entry door curve. Oh, and the entry door isn't tall enough.
#2 Putting on bottom sheets is a wrestling match.
Many owners can attest to the difficulty getting a Full size bottom sheet on, much less on a Queen or a King.
Colorful language is common during these bouts.
#3 There's only one place for one person to sit inside and that's on the edge of the mattress, in the aisle space, where your feel (or someone else's) will be smack in front of the fridge door and furnace vent (if installed). And it's raining...
#4 There's no way to get to the lower compartments because the mattress(es) have made it difficult to access the water pump, water heater bypass valve, fresh water tank, and converter (power supply / breakers and fuses).
